We want you to love what you ordered. Because a large share of our catalog is print-on-demand and made-to-order, our return policy differs by product type. Please read carefully.
Quality guarantee
If your item arrives damaged, defective, or with a print error, we will replace it or refund it at no cost to you. Email hi@allieandpat.com within 30 days of delivery with:
- Your order number
- A photo of the item showing the issue
- A photo of the shipping label / packaging if it is also damaged
We typically resolve quality claims within 2 to 3 business days.
Print-on-demand items (apparel, prints, totes, mugs)
Because each print-on-demand item is made specifically for you, we do not accept returns or exchanges for:
- Wrong size ordered (please use the size guide on the product page)
- Buyer's remorse / change of mind
- “The color looks different on my screen”
Quality issues, print defects, and damage in transit are always covered — see the Quality guarantee above.
Self-fulfilled items (For Kids By Kids artwork, etc.)
Self-fulfilled items can be returned for a refund within 14 days of delivery if they are unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging. The customer pays return shipping. Original shipping is non-refundable.

Refund timing
Once we receive your returned item, or once we approve a quality claim, we issue the refund to your original payment method within 5 business days. Your bank may take an additional 3 to 10 business days to post the credit.
Cancellations
Orders can be cancelled for a full refund within 1 hour of being placed, as long as production has not started. Email us as soon as possible with your order number. Once production has started (most print-on-demand orders enter production quickly), we can no longer cancel.
Lost-in-transit packages
See our Shipping Policy for the process. Confirmed lost packages are replaced or refunded at no cost.
Wrong address
If a package is returned to us because the address you provided was wrong or incomplete, we will reach out to arrange reshipment. The customer pays the reshipment cost. If you ask for a refund instead, we will refund the order minus original shipping and any production cost we already incurred.
Gift orders
If you received an item as a gift and it has a quality issue, please ask the original purchaser to email us — refunds are processed to the original payment method.
